Making Strides

Jacob had a great weekend. He is as tough as ever! On Sunday, as Jacob was coming out of the coma, he started responding to voices. A nurse was working with him and noticed he opened one of his eyes a little. She asked him to wiggle his fingers if he could hear her. He immediately wiggled the fingers of his right hand! Yeah Jacob! Then Jacob's dad, Robert asked him to squeeze his hand, and Jacob quickly tightened his grip. Over the last few days he has been responding like that to both his Mom and Dad. We are so excited about his progress! Jacob does have a staff infection that they are working on. He has a fever that can spike up to 104 or 105 at times, but the hospital is managing it. They have given him more medicine to sedate him, to help his body fight the fever. Please remember him in your prayers. Thank you for all of your love and support.
